Protecting over 1 million babies every year
The Hugs system delivers an unmatched level of security against infant abduction and mother and infant mismatches. Trusted by hundreds of hospitals worldwide, the Hugs system offers the reliability that you and your staff can depend on every day to keep your infants safe.
It’s a choice leading hospitals have made – and a choice parents, nurses, administrators and security staff alike can wholly support.
Easy-attach tag with automatic enrollment
The Hugs tag attaches in seconds and is automatically enrolled in the software. Protection can start right in the delivery room.
No manual tests
The Hugs system requires no manual testing of infant tags or other devices to make sure they’re working. The Hugs software continually monitors the status of all devices, and will generate an alarm if something goes wrong.
The Hugs system ensures full supervision of all components, including the tag, with each tag sending a status message every 10 seconds. If the system doesn’t receive these messages for a specified time period, an alarm is automatically generated.
Add Kisses Mother and Infant matching for total infant protection
With the Kisses® option, the Hugs system automatically alerts you if the wrong baby is brought to the wrong mother. There are no numbers to match and no wall mounted lamps to check. By adding the Kisses option to your Hugs system, you have an easy, effective and electronic enhancement to manual band-matching systems.
Here’s how it works. Each mother wears a small, comfortable Kisses tag. It is bonded with her infant’s Hugs tag at birth and for the duration of their hospital stay. Every time the two are brought together, an audible signal from the infant’s tag immediately alerts you of a mismatch—even if there are other infants in the room. There’s nothing to visually check or match, just the clear sound of the Kisses component to ensure that you always deliver the right baby to the right mother.
Kisses Mother and Infant matching:
- Automatically and instantly alerts you to an incorrect match.
- Works anywhere in the area protected by the Hugs system.
- Patient-friendly mother tag attaches with standard hospital band.
- No extra administrative burden—no numbers to match, and no wall-mounted lights to check.
Protecting your hospital against patient flight
Whether in the emergency department, rehabilitation, or mental health, hospitals need to protect patients who are a danger to themselves or to others. The Passport system is the only product specifically designed to provide individual protection to these flight-risk patients, without interrupting workflow. You and your staff can concentrate on patient care, while Passport takes care of security.
One system, multiple applications
The Passport system protects patients in a range of hospital departments:
- Emergency department
- Rehabilitation unit
- Mental Health unit
- Geriatric unit
Reliable and secure pediatric protection
You need an effective means to keep your kids safe. Safe from stranger abduction. Safe from family abduction. And safe from patient flight. Introducing the Pedz pediatric protection system – a tag made for kids, not babies.
To understand the Pedz system, start with the Pedz tag. It’s the only product offering both tamper protection and a cut-resistant band held inside the tag with a clamp. Not only is it difficult for an abductor to remove, but kids can play with it without causing nuisance alarms. If an abductor or flight-prone patient ever does succeed in detaching the tag, you’ll immediately be notified. An alarm appears in the Pedz software at computers throughout your department.
Wander prevention solutions built for security
When a resident approaches an exit, the door controller locks the door to prevent the resident from leaving; or if the door is open, an alarm sounds.
Beyond this essential functionality, the RoamAlert system offers you a wide range of options for central reporting, integration with other security systems, and even other applications such as personal emergency response and resident locating. The RoamAlert system gives you the tools you need to protect your residents when and where they need it. No other product offers the same level of flexibility and scalability, combined with ease of use for staff and administrators.
Here’s how the system works. Each resident wears a small radio transmitter
(the smallest and lightest on the market). Exits are protected by door controllers.
